Longing for Love: Shaakuntalam's "Mallika Mallika" lyrical ft. Samantha Ruth Prabhu

The first song from Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Shaakuntalam is now available for listening. Titled "Mallika Mallika," the track is composed by Mani Sharma and sung by Ramya Behara. The lyrics video does not include any footage from the film, but the stills give a hint of the tone of the song. The song, written by Chaitanya Prasad, is about a woman's longing for her lover and how she copes with her loneliness by being with birds and animals while waiting for her lover to return.

Shaakuntalam is an adaptation of the internationally acclaimed Sanskrit play "Abhijnana Shakuntalam" by Kalidasa and features an ensemble cast including Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhu Bala, Gautami and many other notable actors.
