The cricketer Ravindra Jadeja sent his wife Rivaba congratulations on her victory in the Gujarat Assembly elections. With more than 57% of the vote, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Jamnagar North won. Mr. Jadeja tweeted, "Hello MLA you truly deserve it," with a picture of Rivaba carrying a tiny placard.
According to Google's translation of the cricketer's Gujarati tweet, "Hello MLA, you really deserve it. The people of Jamnagar have won. I extend my sincere thanks from the bottom of my heart... the works of Jamnagar will be very good."
