Jilted lover slits MBBS girl throat for rejecting marriage proposal in Guntur
Guntur: In a horrifying incident, a jilted lover slit the throat of an MBBS student after she refused to marry him and later he attempted suicide. The incident took place in Takkellapdu village in Pedakakani Mandal, Guntur.
According to the sources, the deceased identified as Tapaswi, a native of Krishnapuram village in Vuyyur, Krishna district was allegedly in love with the accused Ganeshwar, a software engineer and separated due to some disputes. It is said that the accused forced the girl to marry him and she refused his proposal. She was staying in her friend's room.
On Monday, the accused visited her room and indulged in a heated argument with her. Later, he slit her throat with a surgical blade and later he slit his wrist. The locals rushed to the house and shifted the Tapaswi to the nearby hospital and she died while undergoing treatment. He was handed over to the police.
