Minister KTR inaugurates restored 300-year-old Bansilalpet stepwell

Hyderabad: Telangana Municipal Administration Minister KTR inaugurated the three hundred years old revived Bansilalpet stepwell on Monday. The 17th-century six-layer stepwell has footprints of the Kakatiyas, Nizam era and British empires. It is said that it can hold 22 litres of water. It is said that more than 2000 tonnes of debris were removed from the stepwell.

Now, the stepwell has a tourist plaza, amphitheatre, replica model of the stepwell and things found during the removal of debris in the well. Addressing the event, Minister KTR thanked everyone who worked for the restoration of the stepwell. He stated that the city is all about heritage, culture and historical monuments. He requested the locals to extend their support to maintain the stepwell.
