Farmers oppose of sale of lands in Amaravati, CRDA to sell each acre for Rs 10 crore

Amaravati, June 26: The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) is planning to sell lands through auction in the next month. According to reports, the CRDA to sell 250 acres allotted to the BR Shetty Medicity and London-based Kings College Hospital. It was decided to sell each acre for Rs 10 crore.
The CRDA wants to generate Rs 2,480 crore for cash-strapped state. Farmers and lawyers are opposing the CRDA’s decision to sell lands without considering the verdict of the High Court. They slammed the YSRCP government for not allocating developed plots to farmers.
