'Promote mother tongue..': Venkaiah Naidu amid language row calls for 'no opposition, no imposition'

In the midst of the country's continuing language debate, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said on Saturday that no language should be imposed or opposed, speaking at an event in Chennai to honouring Tamil Nadu's late former chief minister M Karunanidhi.
Vice President Venkaiah Naidu has weighed in on the simmering language dispute. According to Venkaih Naidu, every Indian language is rich, and we must nurture mother tongue. He remarked this while on stage with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, who demanded official status for Tamil like Hindi when on stage with Prime Minister Modi last Thursday.
