India named 'Country of Honour' at Cannes: PM Modi pens message of ‘immense pride’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his satisfaction at India's participation in the Cannes Film Festival in a special message to the Indian contingent walking the red carpet. In a special note, he noted that the festival's 75th anniversary coincides with the 75th anniversary of India-France diplomatic relations.
Ahead of the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi voiced his delight, saying, 'India truly boasts the great potential to become the world's content hub.'
PM Modi went on to say that India is the world's largest producer of films. Our film industry is notable in its diversity, with films in numerous languages from many places. India's strengths include its rich heritage and cultural variety.
