CM KCR meets Maharashtra CM

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao visited his Maharashtra counterpart Uddhav Thackeray here on Sunday as part of attempts to unite diverse anti-BJP groups at the national level. Rao came at the Maharashtra Chief Minister's official house after receiving an invitation from Thackeray. Prakash Raj, a senior actor turned politician, was also seen with them.

Thackeray, who is also the Shiv Sena's president, recently called Rao and invited him to Mumbai. Thackeray has previously stated his "full support" for Rao's struggle against the BJP's purported anti-people policies and for the preservation of the federal spirit.

The Telangana chief minister, who has been outspoken of the BJP and the Centre on a number of topics, has stated that he will meet with his counterparts in Maharashtra and West Bengal as part of efforts to unify diverse political parties against the BJP and the NDA administration.
