Ratan Tata's welcome message for Air India passengers

Ratan Tata, the industrialist, has sent a special message welcoming passengers onboard Air India aircraft following the airline's purchase by Tata Group. On Wednesday morning, the statement was put on Air India's official Twitter account. The caption reads, "#FlyAI: Mr Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus, Tata Sons, Chairman Tata Trusts, extends a hearty greeting to our passengers onboard Air India aircraft."

Last Thursday, nearly 69 years after being taken over by the conglomerate, Air India was returned to the Tata Group. The Tata Group has received Air India Express as well as a 50% ownership in Air India's ground handling business, Air India SATS.
