AP employees unions to go on strike from Feb. 7
Andhra Pradesh state government employees and teachers unions planned an indefinite strike on Friday (today) to protest the YSRCP administration's latest PRC (pay revision committee) pay scales. This decision was made by all employee and teacher unions working together under the umbrella of 'PRC Sadhana Samithi.'
The Samithi convened in Amaravathi on Friday (today) to discuss their next steps. The Samithi has decided to present the government with a strike notice on January 24, observe non-cooperation with the government on February 5, and embark on indefinite strike on February 7.
Rallies and dharnas against the new PRC will be held in all districts throughout the state beginning January 25.
