CM Jagan moots 'One District-One Airport' concept.
The Chief Minister undertook a review of port and airport projects on Thursday at the CM's camp office in Tadepalli. CM Jagan, speaking on the occasion, instructed the authorities to make plans in accordance with the One District-One Airport concept. The CM directed authorities to begin building airports in all districts uniformly and to focus on the development of the necessary facilities.
The CM asked authorities to build the runway so that Boeing flights could land, as well as to expand and enhance the state's six existing airports. Bhogapuram airport in Vizianagaram district and Dagadarti airport in Nellore district should be constructed as soon as feasible, he added.
The CM also instructed the authorities to give top importance to the state's nine newly constructed fishing harbours and three ports.
