Missing actress's husband confesses to murdering his wife, body was found in sack

In a horrific sequence of events, Bangladeshi actress Raima Islam Shimu's body was discovered inside a sack on the outskirts of Dhaka. She was brutally slain, and after hours of questioning, her husband, Shakhawat Ali Nobel, admitted to his involvement in the heinous crime. He has now been placed on remand.

Previously, a Dhaka police statement indicated that Shimu's murder was most likely the result of a family conflict, and her husband confessed to the crime when being interviewed by local police.

Raima Islam Shimu, who had gone missing a few days earlier, was discovered dead on the outskirts of Dhaka, according to police. Her dead body was found inside a sack near Keraniganj's Hazratpur Bridge.
