Lok Sabha: Galla Jayadev asks Central govt to fulfill long pending promises of AP Re-Organisation Act

TDP Lok Sabha member Jayadev Galla, while criticising the Centre for failing to fulfil promises made by the NDA government after the state's split, has sought justice for Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to members of the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Guntur TDP MP said that the majority of eighteen important promises, including the provision of Special Category Status (SCS), had yet to be fulfilled. He recalled a succession of promises made on the floor of the Parliament House.

MP Galla has questioned the central government over the Polavaram project's delay owing to a lack of funds. He has also spoken against the discrepancies at the Kadapa Steel Plant, money for AP's backward regions, and the Visakha Steel Plant's privatisation.
