TTD to restore centuries old trek route used by Annamacharya

Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board decided to restore the centuries-old ghat road to reach Tirumala from Tirupati. The board conducted a meeting at Annamaiah Bhavan on Saturday. TTD chairman Y V Subba Reddy said that the route which was used by saint Annamacharya to trek the hill to reach Tirumala will be restored for the sake of pilgrims.

He added that the proposal was raised during the YS Rajashekar Reddy regime and now it will be materialised. The TTD board also decided to provide"Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam" for ten days for pilgrims. It is known that the two ghats roads were severely damaged due to recent rains.
