AP employees JAC begins protest for PRC
Employees in the state of Andhra Pradesh have protested wearing black badges, asking that their 71 requests be met, including the execution of Pay Revision Commission recommendations, the payment of Dearness Allowance, and the termination of the Contributory Pension Scheme. Protests have commenced in virtually all districts today by the state government employees' Joint Action Committee, which includes the AP NGOs Association and the Amaravati JAC. AP JAC Amaravati Chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarulu, along with other union leaders, took part in the demonstration. They have said unequivocally that they would intensify their protests until all of their demands are met.
