Harish Rao writes to Union Health Minister to reduce time gap between two doses of Covishield
Harish Rao, Telangana's Health Minister, has requested the Union government to shorten the time between two doses of the covishield vaccination. The Minister stated in a letter to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya that there are issues with the 12-week duration of the second dose. After the initial dosage, migrant labourers are claimed to be migrating to different places. According to the Minister, identifying them and administering a second dosage has become extremely difficult. Harish Rao has requested that the second dosage be reduced to 4-6 weeks, as in the past. He has also asked for a booster dosage to be given to front-line warriors and those in high-risk zones.
