India-born Parag Agrawal is new Twitter CEO
Hyderabad: Parag Agrawal, an IIT-Bombay graduate replaced Jack Dorsey and became the new Twitter Chief Executive Officer. Jack Dorsey resigned to the position on Monday evening and the Board of Directors appointed CTO Parag Agrawal as new CEO. Parag completed his graduation from IIT-Bombay and PhD science from Standford University. He did research internships at Microsoft, AT&T and Yahoo. Parag joined as ads Engineer in Twitter in October 2011 and soon became a 'Distinguished Software Engineer'. Later, he was appointed as Chief Technology Officer in 2017.Now, Parag will join several Indian-born executives including Google's Sundar Pichai, IBM's Arvind Krishna, Microsoft's Satya Nadella to lead the US largest tech company.
