Delhi Metro achieves 4th position globally in Driverless train operations(DTO)

On Thursday, the 59-kilometer Pink Line of the Delhi Metro saw the introduction of driverless train operations (DTO). As a result, the mass rapid transit system is now ranked fourth in the world among networks that use this cutting-edge technology. Singapore (first), Shanghai (second), and Kuala Lumpur (third) are the top three cities in the world in terms of autonomous railway networks.Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri and Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot launched the autonomous train operations through video conference on Thursday.With the start of DTO on the Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar route (covering 38 stops), driverless operations have now reached nearly 97 kilometres.
