Covid surge in West Bengal: lockdown imposed in Sonarpur, 248 new cases in Kolkata
World Health Organisation (WHO) has been alerting all the nations continuously following the spread of Covid-19 cases because of the Delta variant in the countries like USA, Russia, Germany and China. According to the reports, coronavirus cases are on the rise in West Bengal. In 24 South Paraganas district, a lockdown has been imposed in the Sonarpur municipality for three days due to increase in Covid-19 cases.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) wrote a letter to the Mamata government after witnessing a surge in covid cases post Dussehra and Durga Puja festivities. In the last 24 hours, six died and 248 people have been infected with Covid-19 in Kolkata.
