Ration dealers protest underway in AP
From Tuesday, fair pricing stores (ration shops) in the state ceased distributing vital supplies to white-card holders. Ration dealers protested again on Wednesday when the state government failed to respond. The Andhra Pradesh Ration Dealers' Association took the decision in response to government officials' 'anti-dealer policies.' As part of the protest, the Association advised its members to halt unloading inventories destined for delivery in November. It also advocated for the closure of ration stores until their demands were realised.Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Nani, on the other hand, has criticised the ration dealers' protest and stated that it will not halt ration delivery. The Minister added that they are prepared to resolve the matter after a thorough consultation.
