Major judgments of justice NV Ramana of Supreme Court
On April 23, Justice NV Ramana was sworn in as India's 48th Chief Justice. He began making his imprint on the great profession of law the minute he assumed command. Many historic decisions have been issued under his supervision during the last five months. Justice Ramana has handled a number of significant cases involving constitutional problems, basic rights, civil freedoms, and elections, among other things. Justice Ramana has also given a number of noteworthy decisions in the field of business law, calling into question the faults in numerous institutions. For many years, he has questioned the state of charges pending against the public representative, human rights violations in police stations, and other issues. He has urged attorneys to assist all those in need while adhering to constitutional constraints, and he has recommended that they raise awareness about their rights. By promoting appointments, the CJI has been effective in filling vacancies in tribunals. Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana recently delivered the oath of office to nine new Supreme Court justices, including three women. It is the first time in Supreme Court history that nine justices have taken the oath of office at the same time.
