Union ministers land at emergency landing strip on national highway in Rajasthan
As part of a simulated exercise, an IAF plane carrying Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari arrived at an emergency field landing in Rajasthan. On Thursday, union ministers inaugurated an emergency landing strip for Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft along the Satta-Gandhav section of the national highway in Rajasthan’s Jalore.
On Thursday, the Indian Air Force's C-130J Super Hercules transport plane carrying union ministers, and Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria performed a simulated emergency landing on the national highway. The NH-925 in Rajasthan is India's first national highway to be utilised by IAF for an emergency landing. The NHAI has built a 3.5 km stretch of NH-925 to demonstrate that such highways may be used by IAF aircraft for emergency landings.
