CM Mamata Banerjee visits flood-affected localities, video goes viral

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee recently visited the flood-hit areas of Paschim Medinipur district and now the video is going viral on social media. She is seen walking in the floodwater and interacting with the people to know about their problems. It is known that the CM frequently visits various districts in West Bengal and interacts with people.

Mamata has alleged that the delay in sanctioning the Ghatal Master Plan by the Centre is causing floods in the region every year. As per the master plan declared in 2009, several projects should be undertaken including repairs to canals and restoration of dam on the Shilabati river.
