On Monday, Indian discus thrower Kamalpreet Kaur earned a respectable sixth in the women's discus throw final at the Tokyo Olympics. Kamalpreet finished sixth with a throw of 63.70m on her Olympic debut. Kamalpreet has begun with 61.62m in her first attempt. She made a foul in her second attempt. Rain has stopped for half an hour. After resumption, Kamalpreet’s throw of 63.70m took her to sixth place from ninth. Valarie Allman of the United States won gold with a throw of 68.90m on her first try. Germany’s Kristin Pudenz won the silver medal as she made a best throw of 66.86m on her fifth attempt.
