Vizag Steel Plant employees to sit on dharna at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar from today

New Delhi: In an effort to intensify their campaign against the privatisation of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), its employees numbering over 1,000 have reached New Delhi to exert pressure on the Central government. As part of two-day protest, VSP staff will sit on stir at Jantar Mantar in national capital from 11 am on Monday.

To drum up support from political parties other than BJP and its allies, leaders of the Visakha Ukku Parirakshana Porata Samithi have met several national leaders and heads of regional parties seeking support for their cause. Delhi police personnel were posted at the protest venue to prevent untoward incidents.
