Watch: Italy's Jacobs wins Men's 100m Gold at Tokyo 2020
Lamont Marcell Jacobs of Italy clinched the men's 100m gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, ending retiring Jamaican star Usain Bolt's 13-year reign. In Sunday's final, Jacobs, 26, set a European record of 9.80 seconds, with American Fred Kerley earning silver in 9.84 seconds. Andre de Grasse of Canada, a bronze medalist at the 2016 Rio Olympics, accomplished the feat in 9.89 seconds. Jacobs leapt into the arms of his Italian teammate Gianmarco Tamberi, who had just won gold in the men's high jump and was awaiting for him at the finish line.
