PV Sindhu creates History, wins Bronze for India- Tokyo 2020
PV Sindhu made history as she became the first Indian woman to win two Olympic medals. In the bronze medal match of the women's singles event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics on August 1st, the Indian star defeated China's He Bing Jiao 21-13, 21-15. The Indian shuttler then won three consecutive games to make it 15-13, after which she achieved match point with five game points. Sindhu is just the fourth female player in badminton history to win medals at two successive Olympic Games. Notably, this is Sindhu's second Olympic medal, after her silver medal from the 2016 Rio Games.
