Indian Manika Batra wins round 2 of Table Tennis to progress further in Tokyo 2020
Manika Batra has progressed to the second round of the Tokyo Olympics after beating 20th seed Margaryta Pesotkova of Ukraine in seven-set battle. She aspires to contend for a medal at the Olympics in Tokyo as her gesture seemed. She lost the opening game, but rallied to take a 3-2 lead in a 56-minute, before the match was decided in a tiebreaker, which she won 4-3. Against all odds, the Indian prevailed in the last game and advanced to Round 3. Ukraine's Pesotska comfortably won Game 1, but Batra rallied in Games 3 and 4, bringing the match back into her favour.
