KTR urges Centre to set up vaccine testing centre in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Minister K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) wrote a letter to the Centre requesting to set up a vaccine testing and certification laboratory in Hyderabad on the lines of the Central Drug Laboratory at Kasauli. In the letter, he mentioned that Hyderabad has emerged as the vaccine capital of the world. “Sending every batch of vaccines produced by various companies in India to Kasauli is resulting the delay of 45 days of their precious time,” he stated. KTR said that 8 to 10 crore vaccine doses can be produced in a month if vaccine testing centre is located in Hyderabad.
