Centre agreed to set up greenfield ethanol refinery with Rs 1,000 crore in AP: Mekapati

An official delegation led by Industries and Commerce Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy met Union Minister for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi on Wednesday and discussed with him about setting up a petrochemical complex at Kakinada. Speaking to the media, Goutham Reddy has mentioned that the Government of India is keen to establish petrochemical complex with an investment of Rs 25,000 crore. Dharmendra Pradhan has informed us that the Central government will set up a greenfield refinery with Rs 1,000 crore for producing ethanol from molasses generated during sugar production.
