From 24 to 42 Judges: Telangana HC bench strength increased by 75%
The strength of the Telangana High Court Bench has increased by 75% as the Chief Justice of India has approved a long-pending proposal. CJI NV Ramana has given his final approval, and with this, the sanctioned bench strength of the High Court in Telangana will soon witness a 75% occupancy, i.e., from 24 to 42. According to the reports, out of the 42 Judges, 32 comes under the permanent judges, and ten will be additional judges. The proposal was pending for almost two years, and was it was revived at the behest of the CJI. Earlier, CM KCR had sent the proposal to the PMO and the Union Minister of Law and Justice, stressing judges' need.
