Big jolt to Congress ahead of UP elections, Jitin Prasada joins BJP
Former union minister and Congress leader Jitin Prasada joined the BJP in the presence of Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal at the party head office in Delhi on Wednesday. Earlier, he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence. According to the sources, Jitin Prasada was offered an important role in Uttar Pradesh. This is new chapter of my political career, he said after joining the BJP. His exit will be a big blow to the Congress ahead of UP elections. He was one among the 23 leaders, who wrote a letter to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi seeking organisational changes.
