Another 60,000 Sputnik V vaccine doses reached Hyderabad from Russia
As part of agreement between Russia’s Gamaleya National Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, the second batch of 60,000 Sputnik V vaccine doses have reached Hyderabad. On May 1, Dr. Reddy’s Labs received 1.5 lakh vaccine doses from Russia. The Indian drug maker has placed an order with Gamaleya for 67 lakh vaccine doses. Russia had agreed to send the vaccines in a phased manner. Dr. Reddy’s had already announced that it will start production of Sputnik V vaccine in India from June onwards. The pharma company wants to produce 850 million vaccine doses in a year.
