Opposition leaders write letter to PM, ask to accelerate vaccine drive
New Delhi: Amid a major spark in coronavirus cases, 12 major opposition leaders wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking to suspend the Central Vista revamp project works and to increase the vaccination drive against the pandemic. The opposition leaders demanded that the Centre should take immediate action as the corona cases are increasing across the nation and the shortage of beds in hospitals leaving thousands to lose their lives. The opposition leaders accused the Centre of ignoring their suggestions and is the reason why the cases are increasing in the nation. In the letter, the leaders asked the Centre to provide food grains to the eligible beneficiaries and extend financial aid of Rs 6,000 per month to unemployed youth. They also demanded the Central government to repeal the three farm laws.
