CM Jagan announces Rs 10 lakh compensation to Tirupati’s Ruia victims
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday announced ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh each to kin of 11 covid patients, who died due to low pressure in oxygen supply at Ruia Government Hospital in Tirupati on Monday night. The CM took part in Spandana meeting attended by ministers Alla Nani, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, and Botsa Satyanarayana, district collectors and SPs. It was decided in the meeting to appoint three senior IAS officers to supervise transportation of oxygen tankers from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Odisha to Andhra Pradesh. Speaking on the occasion, the CM alleged that opposition parties are criticising the ruling AP government to derive political mileage.
