Visakhapatnam Steel Plant to set up covid care centres with 1,000-beds in Steel Township

The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) has decided to convert all community and public halls in the Steel Township at Kurmannapalem in Visakhapatnam into covid care centres. The VSP will arrange 1,000 cots for covid patients in these halls. Cots are being readied at Utility Equipment Repair Shop (UERS) on the premises of steel plant.
Union Minister of Steel Dharmendra Pradhan has directed the VSP management to take measures for setting up 1,000 beds with oxygen supply. The VSP has also supporting Andhra Pradesh in the covid crisis by supplying oxygen required for coronavirus patients.
