YSRCP garnered 52.63% vote share in municipal polls; TDP 30.73, Jana Sena 4.67, BJP 2.41
As per the official information from the State Election Commission, the YSRCP secured 52.63 per cent vote share in municipal elections. The voting percentage of the ruling party has increased compared to 2019 Assembly elections. The vote share of the YSRCP in general elections was in between 50 and 51 per cent. On the other hand, the opposition got 30.73 per cent votes in urban local body elections. It lost 7 per cent voting compared to previous Assembly elections. Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena has performed much better than its ally BJP. However, independents have garnered 5.73 per cent votes, CPM-0.81, CPM-0.80, and Congress 0.62.
