TN Assembly elections: BJP denies ticket to actress Khushbu Sundar

As part of seat sharing pact between the BJP, AIADMK, and PMK ahead of Assembly elections to Tamil Nadu, actress-turned-politician Khushbu Sundar was denied ticket to contest from Chepauk Triplicane Assembly constituency. The seat was allotted to the PMK.
However, Khushbu Sundar tweeted that she never aspired to contest from Chepauk even though she was BJP in-charge for the constituency. “I shall always be indebted to them and promise to continue to fulfil my duty of bettering their lives and adding happiness,” she thanked the people of Chepauk. Khushbu had joined the BJP in October 2020.
