Steel plant row: CM Jagan seeks PM’s earliest appointment for all-party delegation
09-03-2021 Tue 12:56
As protests are taking place across the state opposing Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) privatisation, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking appointment at the earliest for an all-party delegation. In the four-page letter, the CM stated that trade unions will be part of the all-party delegation. Once again, he reiterated about various options available to bring the VSP into profits. The RINL disinvestment will foment trouble to the ruling state government in the present and next elections. A big question mark as to whether the PM will give appointment to all-party delegation consisting of trade unions.
