Gun shots fired near farmers protest camp at Singhu border

NEW DELHI: In a shocking incident, some unidentified miscreants fired gunshots in the air near the Singhu border, where the farmers protesting against the Centre's new agriculture laws. According to the sources, the incident took place when a langar was taking place at the site. Eyewitnesses said that four unidentified men came in a car and left the spot after firing three rounds into the air. Police suspected that the miscreants were from Punjab after scrutinising their vehicle number plate. The incident took place a couple of hours before hundreds of women farmers gathered together to celebrate International Women's Day.
