Semi-bullet trains to be operational soon in India
India has been planning for the bullet train projects, and it has begun working on them. On the other hand, there are reports of semi-bullet trains, which will get a nod soon for its operation by the Indian Railways Ministry. Recently, a trial run was conducted by the Indian Railways. It has recently tested a semi-bullet train traveling at a speed of 180 kmph. The train powered by AC-3 tire bogies was piloted between Kota-Sawai Madhopur. The Research Design and Standard Organization (RDSO) tested the AC-3 tire bogies made at the Railway Coach Factory (RCF) in Kapurthala. These trains will have 83 berths, and the new coaches will have USB points, reading lights, special AC, and easy-to-access gates.
