No fundamental right of same s*x marriage: Centre
NEW DELHI: The Centre told the Delhi High Court that no one can claim the fundamental right for marrying the same s*x. The Centre said that having the same s*xual relationship is not comparable with the Indian family concept of husband, wife and children. A couple with the same s*x married in the USA and filed a petition seeking same-s*x marriages valid under the law. The central government said that the fundamental right cannot be expanded to extend for a same s*x marriage. The Centre also said that issue of legal recognition of Same S*x Marriage can't be decided by the court.
