Shock to Cong govt in Puducherry ahead of Rahul Gandhi’s visit
The trouble is mounting for the Congress government in Puducherry as one more MLA John Kumar tendered resignation to his post on Tuesday. His resignation comes ahead of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Puducherry. So far, four MLAs including Health Minister Malladi Krishna Rao have tendered resignations. According to sources, the reason for MLAs quitting MLA posts was that they are not happy with the style of functioning of Chief Minister V Narayanasamy. With the resignation of four MLAs, the state government has slipped into minority. Assembly elections in Puducherry will be held in May.
