R Ashwin creates new world record in England 1st test
Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has created a world record on Monday while playing against England. The cricketer has joined a spinners list to have picked up a wicket off the first ball of the innings. The veteran spinner took the wicket of England opener Rory Burns in the second innings' first delivery. The said feat was achieved on Day 4 of the first Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The record was made for the first time in more than 100 years. In 1907, South Africa's spinner Bert Vogler had achieved the feat against England at the Oval after he claimed England's Tom Hayward's wicket.
