SC dismisses petitions demanding probe into tractor rally violence on R-Day
The Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to entertain a batch of petitions demanding a probe into tractor rally violence in the national capital on Republic Day. The apex court allowed the petitioners to submit representations to the Central government.
A bench headed by Chief Justice SA Bobde and comprising Justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian has said that the Centre is looking into the matter and the law will do its job. The Supreme Court also dismissed a petition seeking to refrain the media from declaring farmers as terrorists without any evidence.
