AP Panchayat Raj principal secretary, commissioner transferred

Vijayawada: State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Rameshkumar sped up the works for conducting local body polls in the state and ordered the government to transfer the Panchayat Raj principal secretary Gopala Krishna Diwedi and Commissioner Girija Shankar for not cooperating to SEC. The Andhra Pradesh government issued transfer orders to Gopal Krishna Diwedi and Girija Shankar. It is known that SEC expressed anger that they neglected in preparing the voter list and said they will take action against them. The AP CS received the orders of the SEC and issued transfer orders. It is known that the Supreme Court gave a green signal to the SEC to conduct local body polls.
