SEC reschedules panchayat elections in AP

The State Election Commission (SEC) on Monday rescheduled the dates of conducting panchayat elections after the Supreme Court has pronounced the verdict. No changes in the dates of the second, third, and fourth phase of polling. The first phase of polling will be held on February 21. According to reports, State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar wrote a letter to the Union Cabinet Secretary to allocate employees of the Central government for holding panchayat elections in the state after the leaders of the employees’ unions wrote letters to him expressing fear in discharging duties.
