Cannot transfer district collectors during vaccination, AP govt tells SEC Nimmagadda

State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar wrote a letter to transfer Chittoor and Guntur district collectors and six police officials including Tirupati Urban SP. But, Chief Secretary Aditya Nath Das gave a reply to the SEC saying that collectors and police officials cannot be transferred as they are involved in the vaccination process. The Chittoor and Guntur collectors would not be attending the video conference to be held by the SEC at 3 noon on Saturday to review preparedness for panchayat elections. Joint collectors of both districts would attend the meeting.
