Farmers reject government's proposal to stay farm laws for 18 months

Protesting farmers unions rejected the Centre's proposal to hold the new three agriculture laws for one and one and a half years. Farmers said that they want to repeal the legislation. According to the reports, the farmers rejected the Centre's proposal to set up a joint committee to solve the stalemate over the new laws. Earlier, the Centre said that the can hold the agriculture laws on hold for 18 months. But, the farmers rejected the new farm laws and demanded to repeal the farm laws. Farmers staging a protest against the new farm laws from the past few months.
