I-T raids on Paul Dhinakaran’s offices, searches on at 28 locations in Tamil Nadu

The Income Tax officials on Wednesday conducted raids at 28 locations in Chennai, Coimbatore and other places in Tamil Nadu related to Christian missionary Paul Dhinakaran’s Jesus Calls ministry, Karunya educational institutions, and social service organisations. The raids were conducted on the complaints of income tax evasion and foreign fund irregularities. Christian leaders are suspecting the political motive behind the I-T raids on Paul Dhinakaran’s residence and offices ahead of assembly elections in Tamil Nadu to be held in April-May. They alleged that the Modi government is targeting the Chrisitian community in India.
